Our Process
We want to make sure your visit at Rusted Spur Stables is a pleasant experience. Since you may not have the confidence yet to handle horses, we guide you through with a three step process.
Program Briefing and Safety
On your arrival we will tour the facility. We will then discuss safety protocols and housekeeping practices and clarify the program details as well as its objectives.
It is our mission to ensure that all participants have an enjoyable, safe, and educational experience in each of our programs.
Arena Time With the Horses
This is where you and your partner meet your teacher start with grooming and bonding with your horse. Then you will actively participate through the program working on the objective of day. Everything skill learned will then be transferrable to your own life.
Debriefing and Reflection
Once the arena time is over, we will come back into the classroom where we will debrief the program, bring everything back to the objective one more time and ensure the learning really transfers back to life.
We then end the session with achievement words and journal your progress to be able to reflect back.
